Formula: cost per mg = effective vial price / vial amount. Cost per dose = cost per mg x dose. Usable doses = whole doses that fit in the vial, so real cost per dose = effective vial price / usable doses.

2. Why Cost Per Dose Is Not Just Price Divided By Milligrams

Cost per milligram is the number most people compare, and on its own it is misleading. It assumes every milligram in the vial becomes a dose, which is only true when your dose divides evenly into the vial size.

A 10 mg vial with a 2.5 mg dose gives four clean doses and no remainder. The same 10 mg vial with a 3 mg dose gives three doses and leaves 1 mg stranded, because the leftover is not enough to draw a fourth. You paid for that milligram and cannot dose it, so your true cost per dose is a third higher than cost per milligram suggests.

This is why the calculator reports both figures. The gap between them is what vial sizing is costing you, and it is often the difference between two suppliers that look identical on price per milligram.

3. Example

A 10 mg vial costs 150, shipped in an order of two vials with 20 shipping. The effective price per vial is 160, or 16 per mg.

At a 2.5 mg weekly dose, the peptide in each dose costs 40, and the vial yields exactly four usable doses with nothing left over, so the real cost per dose is also 40. That works out to roughly 174 per month and 2,087 per year.

Raise the dose to 3 mg and the vial now yields only three usable doses with 1 mg stranded. The peptide cost is 48 per dose, but the real cost is 53.33 per dose once the unusable remainder is accounted for.

4. Important Limits

  • This is an arithmetic tool. It does not assess product quality, purity, testing, sourcing, or legitimacy.
  • A lower cost per milligram is not automatically a better deal if the vial size does not fit your dose.
  • The calculator assumes the full labeled amount is present and recoverable, which real vials do not always deliver.
  • Currency is a display label only. No exchange rates or taxes are applied.
  • This calculator does not determine what dose you should take or how often.

  • How is cost per dose calculated?

    Cost per dose is the price of the vial divided by the number of doses it contains. The number of doses is the total peptide amount in the vial divided by your dose. For example, a 10 mg vial at 100 per vial costs 10 per mg, so a 2.5 mg dose costs 25 and the vial holds four doses.

  • Why are there two different cost-per-dose figures?

    The first figure divides the vial price by the exact amount of peptide you use, which is the cost of the peptide itself. The second divides the vial price by the number of whole doses you can actually draw. When your dose does not divide evenly into the vial, the leftover cannot be used as a full dose, so the real cost per dose is higher. The gap between the two figures is the cost of that waste.

  • How does dosing frequency change the total cost?

    Frequency does not change what a single dose costs, but it sets how quickly you consume vials. Halving the interval between doses doubles the number of doses per year and therefore doubles the annual cost. The calculator converts your interval into weekly, monthly, and annual figures using 30.44 days per month and 365.25 days per year.

  • Does this calculator include shipping or other fees?

    It can. The optional order fields let you enter how many vials come in an order and any additional cost such as shipping, consultation, or supplies. The calculator spreads that additional cost evenly across the vials in the order to give an effective per-vial price before working out cost per dose.

  • Does a cheaper cost per milligram mean a better deal?

    Not on its own. Cost per milligram ignores whether the vial size fits your dose, so a cheaper vial that leaves a large unusable remainder can cost more per usable dose than a more expensive vial that divides evenly. It also says nothing about product quality, testing, sourcing, or legitimacy, which a calculator cannot assess.
